Summer Bar#10: Philippe Thuriot & Carlo Nardozza

As a child, accordionist Philippe Thuriot already noticed the direct impact of music on the atmosphere and people in his parents' café. Trumpeter Carlo Nardozza grew up with the accordion sounds of his Italian family in Genk. With their joint project Système Bruxellois (which refers to an Italian accordion keyboard that the Belgians claimed was complex), they transform that early fascination into blistering live sessions without a fixed set list or structure. Last year at Philippe Herreweghe's Crete Senesi Festival in Tuscany, this summer at Bijloke Wonderland in Ghent.
