Children of Nowhere (Ghost Road 2)

Children of Nowhere (Ghost Road 2) is a continuation of the idea behind Ghost Road. It is once again a fusion of theatre, music, travel reports and film. This time we are going to Chile, to the old mining town of Chacabuco in the Atacama desert, which has been left as a silent witness to an extraordinary story. Nowadays just one man lives there, with his two dogs. His only mission is to keep up the maintenance of the place and to receive any passing travellers. People visit Chacabuco for two reasons: either for the surprising beauty of this ghost town, out there in the middle of the desert, or on a quest to confront the past. Out of a desire to reveal something once again; one’s own history, the History of a people. In this way, Chacabuco remains a poem that never wants to end.
