From 18 to 21 August 2022, the third edition of the SOV Conducting Masterclass will take place. Three young, aspiring conductors get the chance to work with chief conductor Kristiina Poska and the musicians of Symfonieorkest Vlaanderen.

The musical focus this season: Ludwig van Beethoven's 'Symphony No. 6' and contemporary classical music. Together with Ensemble SPECTRA and artistic director Filip Rathé, the conductors will devote one day to Flemish contemporary music for ensemble.

As a finale to the masterclass, the three candidates will take turns in front of the orchestra in a final concert.
