The Summer Bar at Bijloke wonderland: that's free top concerts from Music Center De Bijloke in a fairy-tale setting. No need to make reservations, there is plenty of room. Food and drinks can be ordered at the bar.

Poet Astrid Haerens racked up prizes with her debut 'Oerhert' (4 stars in De Standaard and De Volkskrant, nomination Herman de Coninck Prize) and was appointed Letterzetter of the city of Kortrijk. Musician Mariske Broeckmeyer (aka Maris) impressed with her album 'By Virtue of the Absurd' (2021) and her EP 'The Tyranny of Temperance' (2022). They soon found each other in their shared love of poetry, experimental music, improvisation and jazz. On this opening night of Bijloke Wonderland, they perform their lauded show 'Oerhert x Maris', with that special combination of Haerens' sensuous language and Maris' equally intoxicating songs. Poetry and music in a unique interplay.
